Description:
Made in South Korea; Famous celadon glazed earthenware with 2 birds in a plum branch in high relief surrounded by an open-work pattern of chrysanthemums with leaves. It is patterned after the 12th century articles used by Korean royalty for cosmetics, medicines or jewelry. Great for powder, incense, or trinkets.
Size: approx. 2 inches tall x 4 inches wide and
5/8 inch deep. Inside opening is 3. 25 inches wide.
This lidded box has accent geometrical patterns on the side, the centers of the flowers are accented with rusty red, and black tiny leaves. Just lovely!
Composition: Glazed earthenware featuring famous Celadon blue - green glaze. Bottom is marked. Entirely handmade.
